We understand that along with workmanship, pricing and when/how our invoices are paid is a very important factor for all of our clients both new and old.

We here at DFB Builders Ltd have a unique payment structure that allows our clients to manage their finances and importantly, manage them with minimal risk. We all know of the horror stories where a client has not received the best service from a tradesman and therefor been put at risk financially. With this in mind, we at DFB Builders Ltd do not ask for set deposits or huge lump sum payments before we have even stepped on your property.

We work on a cost basis where we invoice for materials purchased/to be purchased in stages and for the work which has been carried out and completed in arrears, weekly. This method of invoicing allows all of our clients to feel comfortable that they are paying for a quality service that has been delivered in stages with minimal risk to their finances.

We are of course happy to move on the above and agree different terms if so requested by a client but this method in operating means that at no stage a client is at financial risk

We are fully insured up to a minimum of £2m which exceeds the basic requirements and can increase this if a job requires more coverage. References can be made available on request or can be seen on our google profile.

Examples Of Pricing

The below are just examples of price points to help our clients understand the rough cost of a project. This is important to know so everyone is aware of what financial costs may be associated with the job in hand. These are not exact quotations and should just be used as a guide. For accurate figures or a more detailed quote get in touch.

Typical Mid-range Bathroom refit to include toilet, wash hand basin, bath or shower. Tiled walls and floor covering. Decorated. Inclusive of labour and materials roughly £5,000+VAT.

Single storey extension – Roughly 4m x 4m, with pitched roof, electrics and decorated to taste with flooring, roughly £32,000+VAT. (£2,000+VAT per m2)

Double storey extension – Roughly 4m x 4m, with pitched roof, electrics and decorated to taste with flooring, roughly £64,000+VAT. (£2,000+VAT per m2)

Kitchen refurbishments – Depends completely on the quality and size of kitchen. Small 2m x 2m kitchens can start at £5,000+VAT through to £40,000+VAT for a high end kitchen within a 5m x 4m space.

Windows & Doors – Windows range in price and styles with a starting point of roughly £500+VAT a window and £900+VAT per door (composite and uPVC available).

Most projects and requests are unique to the client and can vary in price. Pricing is dictated by the type of materials required, their quality and ease of installation. We are always happy to offer alternative options should a client wish if costs come in above their budget and would only suggest materials which we would install in our own homes.
